He is the author of We Want Them Infected, Cognitive Errors and Diagnostic Mistakes: A Case-Based Guide to Critical Thinking in Medicine as well as several textbooks in neurology.

When they're not writing and drawing comic books, they're taking their daughter on epic fantasy adventures in their backyard, letting her teach them how to draw smiley faces, and hosting three-person dance parties in the living room.

Courtney has a MA in English and teaches college composition, literature, and creative writing. Nick has been an artist and illustrator his entire life. Friends since their adolescent years, they always shared a love of fantasy, science fiction, and horror. It was a match made in heaven.
